We have deep roots in Utah, and we thrive on the trails and in the mountains surrounding Park City. Our corporate headquarters sits just north of old town Park City and within a quick pedal or a few footsteps of the Wasatch mountains.

Backcountry works hard to provide their customers with the highest performance outdoor gear and clothing, as well as expert level knowledge of the gear they sell, so customers can find all they need in one place.
Currently their website sells a wide range of products, including items, apparel, and gear for camping, trail running, mountain biking, alpine and Nordic skiing, mountaineering, backpacking and more.
Customers are welcome to go to their Backcountry website and search for a specific item they are interested in purchasing, or search through their current inventory by category, including Brands, Men, Women, Kids, Activities, Outlet.
Backcountry Cost/Price Plans
This company sells such a broad category of products that is difficult to pinpoint a specific, or static, range of prices for items sold here. However, like with most similar online retailers, there is often a choice to narrow down your search results by using a Price Filter, which can help customers better find products which fit into their personal budget.
In addition, this website does promise Free Shipping for all orders which total more than $50, as well as their Price Match Guarantee.
This Guarantee states that they will match the currently published price of any United States based competitor for an identical item of the same size, color, and year that is new and in stock.
In order to get their Price Match, you must be able to contact Customer Service within 48 hours of placing your order, and the difference in price will be credited back to the card you used to make your purchase.
Backcountry Shipping and Returns Policy
Shipping policy is standard shipping. Purchases over $50 are free deliveries. They arrive in 4-6 business days. Next day air orders are also available, but need to be placed before 12:00 PM beforehand.
But some restrictions are there to those shipments, such as it excludes PO boxes deliveries. And some items like bike gears, helmets or such aren’t shipped for next day air orders.
They state that new, unused gear must be returned in the condition the customers have received it. The original packaged box with tags has to be there intact. The flat rate of UPS charge is $6 and you can return it for 100% refund.
However, they do offer some returns for used or damaged goods. Within 30 days of delivery, the damaged or used products can be returned for store credit in the Backcountry account.
Backcountry Men and Women’s Clothing
Enwild has decent deals on clothing. But it’s never heavily discounted. For this, REI garage sales or previous years’ colors on Backcountry will give you a better price.
Outdoor Research jackets are 30% off during most seasons. Marmot and Sierra Designs are frequent. Some products are from previous years but most are current styles.
Backcountry Backpacking Packs
My Osprey pack is from Backcountry Edge and my next pack purchase will be from them also. If you’re willing to wait a few weeks for the right deal to come up, “Edge” is one of the best for pack deals.
I’ve seen Gregory and Osprey pack sales show up on regular rotation. Sales on women’s styles are usually easy to find. The best discounts are on older pack styles. The new styles for that season won’t have discounts.
Backcountry Discount & Promos
The best parts about any retailing store are..drum rolls. Discounts! The saving some dimes aspect is well loved. I love some good discounts, alright.
Upon going to Backcountry’s page, you’ll see really bold signs of discounts. They have annual semi-yearly sales of 50%, while you get 15% off the minute you subscribe to them. That’s some insane way of saving some money. Everything you need to ensure you buy your products in an cheap way.

Let’s talk about their website. Their handle goes by backcountry.com And the set up of the site is very travel nostalgic, sort of aesthetic. It’s one that will pull you into buying their products.
So I give that a good rating, they know their audience and what they want to see. The design of the site is very minimalistic. It’s to the point and displays everything you need to see including product listing and prices.

Backcountry Conclusion
Well, Backcountry is legit! They don’t play you, but they have its good and bad sides. Aside from this, the site is really good for outdoorsy people.
There are not many drawbacks to shopping on Enwild. But it is limited to clothing and camping gear. You won’t find outdoor sports gear like biking, climbing or kayaking. Steep & Cheap is the best I’ve found when searching for outdoor sports gear.
Pretty often it just doesn’t have something discounted you’re looking for. In that case you either wait for a deal to show up or buy it full price.
In general this company receives many positive ratings for the quality of its products and the knowledge and information available on their website and from their staff.
However, there are some unhappy customers who mostly voice dissatisfaction with the quality of Customer Service they received when they attempted to return an item for a refund and their refund wasn’t honored for whatever reason.
